I have a question to the soulshard mod
Ive use the Ultimate Pack latest version and a soulshard tier 5

Spawn mobs when i place a chunk loader near the spawner and i am not in the chunk where the spawner ist. i will build a coal farm by killing wither skelletons.

With a tier 5 Soul Shard mobs spawn even when you're not in the chunk. With lower tiers they don't.

Are you asking if soulshards will work as long as they are chunk loaded? If so, then yes they will.

That is what I mean by being chunk loaded. If you are on a server (or playing single player as s server) they will work all the time as long as they are chunk loaded - even if you are not logged on. If you are playing single player they will not work if you are logged off - even if you have a chunk loader.[DOUBLEPOST=1381334214][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes my Problem is no mobs spawn when i use a chunk loader an i am in an other chunk than my farm

Just speculation - How are you appling the redstone signal (or not). The soul shard will turn off when receiving a redstone signal, if you have set up your wiring in such as away that you invert the signal and the switch is not chunk loaded it could be that when you leave the area the redstone signal enables (ie. wireless redstone).

Yes the chunks are loaded i have in the chunkloader config ingame 49 chunks enabled.

i use to turn the spawner off the red alloy wire from redpower with a standard lever

We are out of my pay grade now. I am not sure why a T5 soulshard would not work unless it is something in the config file that disables spawning when the chunks are not loaded by the player directly. Do you have other mob farms that work besides this one?

i use the "normal" chunk loader not the anchor

Thats my setup The Spawner is ther where the top wither skeleton is

It should spawn like that. And they not spawning while you not there? single player or server play?

hmm, just tried a spider setup with a tier 5 soulshard spawner with a chunk loader. It works in singler player...so then i don't know. Dont think its any different with witherspawner
