I've created my first ever alveary and wanted to try it out by obtaining an austere bee. The alveary has three frame housings and three mutators, each running uranium.

The problem is this: The soul frames I added to the frame housings lose durability incredibly fast and actually disappear before the queen dies. Also, I've attempted this mutation twice and not had a single mutation, so it feels like the mutators do nothing.

What's likely the reason?

Edit: The Mutation didn't happen because I was using the wrong biome and it seems alvearies just accelerate everything, including frame destruction

  • This bee can only be bred in a Biome with temperature 190%-200% (hot or hellish) and humidity 0%-10% (arid).
Also if a bee has more than a normal lifespan it will out last the soul frame, since I don't know your breeding bee's lifespan I can't really comment on the frame issue.

Thank you, I was just about to update this thread after finding that out myself.

I believe the lifespan was Long. I'll go test if they have the same durability in an apiary, I could've sworn they last longer there

I just checked, it was only normal lifespan. Also, the frames definitely last much longer in an apiary. Somewhere between a factor 4 and 5, it seems
