For a DSU, you only need one storage bus, make sure it is set to both insert and extract items.

What exactly isn't working? Do items you put into the ME storage not get put into the DSU? Can you put items into the DSU, but not access those items via the ME terminal?

Hey RJ! The items go into the DSU ok from my ME system but then I cannot access any of them from the ME terminal, even though they are connected via storage buses. I have bi-directional on with one storage bus, and it doesn't work, the same error the guy in this post had- even if you try different faces of the DSU to post the storage bus, I cannot take or view items that are stored in the DSU in my ME system.

But the items you put into the system do definitely store themselves on the DSU, and not on a storage disk in your network? If they are definitely going into the DSU, and your storage bus is correctly configured, then I have no idea, as DSUs do not have specific input/output sides like FZ barrels do

Yes I originally had them in the computer then used an export bus to move them onto the DSU-currently I just have the DSUs connected to the computer via storage buses
It's weird cause in the past I could access the items from the computer (the total amount) before they completely emptied into the DSU-
i.e. lets say I started with 10K cobble in the computer, then exporting them to the DSU, I could still use the ME terminal to access 10K coal
Then even with 5K cobble in DSU, 5K in computer, can still access 10K in computer

Now with 0 in computer, and 10K in DSU, I can't access cobble from the computer any more (which I was using at a different location to call up cobble for a lava generator via ME precision export bus). I'm looking into trying to fix it, so I don't have to run out of lava for my lava gens in Agrarian Skies! Unless a lava fabricator is faster and more efficient? But I digress =)

I tried configuring the storage bus a few different ways and still can't get it to work- one of the above suggestions was to get 2 storage buses and call extract from one and import at the other as a workaround; I tried this too but it didn't work! Not sure what it is. Sorry I don't have an error message to copy over- I think it is the same bug that the guy posting in this forum seemed to be having in January- =/[DOUBLEPOST=1411926668][/DOUBLEPOST]Lava gen system*

I'm switching to Big Reactors though, just trying to automate a yellorium production system first, so far still rare for me at this point =)

If you manually take cobble out of the DSU and put it into the computer, does it go back into the DSU?

Fixed it~! The problem was that I had a bunch of DSUs I added after to set up with ME cables and storage buses and when I added them I had to remove the cable that connected the last DSU in the series (and therefore them all) to the computer...I can't believe I didnt notice it before...The last DSU is adjacent to my ME terminal (touching it) so I forgot it wasnt directly connected to the ME network

Its like one of those tiny bugs you find in code when you made a small error in a big system and you had no idea it was there- all the DSUs were connected via ME cables but when I added the new bunch of them I accidentally disconnected the last single ME cable that directly connected them all to the computer...moving my set up so its not so cramped ! Probably cause I tried to pack too much in one space *whew*

Hmm that's odd, I took down my DSUs and ME cables that were cramping the space up and getting ready to set them up downstairs, but now my ME controller wont connect to the ME drives or rest of the system any more! I took a screenshot- even wires that were connected to it are no longer connected and the ME drives are not either!

EDIT- picking up and putting the controller down again fixed it[DOUBLEPOST=1411929032][/DOUBLEPOST]Before and after breaking and re placing the controller:
