They make better menus, and it isn't bad that they are creative tools. It's useful for tests worlds, or creative mode builds. And no, FTB don't focus on survival, it's its players who does.
I think the voxel map is overall superior to REI's minimap or Zan's (although they're both different)
Really? The only reason that Rei's was removed is that it has a memory leak.
All that would be ok with me if the launcher didn't delete mods you added, readd mods you removed and revert configs at will.
I am running a small private server with a couple of friends, and we made changes to the FTB Ultimate modpack and configs, namely:
So far, I have not seen the launcher do anything to affect these changes, not redownloading mods, disabling mods, or resetting configs. The only thing I noticed is that if I just delete a mod that's part of the pack by default, it will say there's a modpack update and ask if I want to re-download it, while if I just disable the mod in the launcher (or add the .disabled tag manually), the launcher will recognize that I "have" it and won't ask to update.
- Added a couple of Mods (incl Mo Creatures & Optifine)
- Set Gregtech to "easy" (removing nerfs that are on by default) using this config pack, and made some other custom config tweaks.
- Updated a couple of the mods to a newer 1.4.7 version (Had to disable the version that comes with Ultimate and "install" the newer one)
Maybe I missed something?
nope. its true.Really?
Thought that ended up being just a rumor or something.
well, it has deleted me twice the mods, once when I SPECIFICALLY clicked ''you want to update: no'' but didn't listen and second no idea how.
at least server mods work in client.
Huh, I'll guess I remove it then.nope. its true.
Zan's, which is exactly the same as VoxelMap but doesn't require LiteLoader.Huh, I'll guess I remove it then.
Any idea if there are other good minimap mods out there?
(Other than Voxel's of course.)
