wont do anything, they still have to abide by normal spawning rules, the same as pigs/cows/sheep/chickens as soul shards.Make it a tier 5 shard
For a slime spawner to work it needs to be a tier 5. And no, Normal rules do not matter with tier 5, So light level, grass around etc is not needed if you have a tier 5 shard. And it does not need to be in a slime chunk.wont do anything, they still have to abide by normal spawning rules, the same as pigs/cows/sheep/chickens as soul shards.
Why?For a slime spawner to work it needs to be a tier 5.
The same is true with a T4 (according to google, all wikis and the official mod thread over at the MCF).And no, Normal rules do not matter with tier 5, So light level, grass around etc is not needed if you have a tier 5 shard. And it does not need to be in a slime chunk.
But you are still wrong, Slime chunks should not matter. And chickens does not need grass and light level doesnt matter with tier 4&5The 2 above are wrong unfortunately.
From your post you are using a tier 4 slime spawner in a room that is 8x9x3?
Well, for example you had a chicken spawner, you would still need to meet the requirements that chickens need to spawn: Grass. And the same with hostile mobs: light level below 7. This also applies to the slimes: you need the slime spawner in a slime chunk.
If you wish to find the slime chunk, either use the reis minimap slime chunk and chunk grid to locate one, or if you're on ultimate, just make a huge room underground, making dividers at the chunk boundarys, place your spawner in the corner of a few, and slime WILL spawn if any nearby chunk is a slime chunk.
Hope to have helped!
Now we made your FTB life easierOh really? i always thought that was the case XD
