Related to ender bees. What's the issue? Well, I figured, since they're bees that are native to the End, I'd put down a pair of Mystcraft portals between the End and my base (after clearing out the dragon), and put my apiaries in the End. Come to find out, the End is too dark for them to work. I repeat, bees that are native to the End, are incompatible with their own native environment. What the hell is this fuckery?

That's odd. Just wondering, is their flower the endstone or... the other thing.

Yes, it is too dark for them. They to much knowledge will actually work in the over world. Their flower is the dragon egg you get from clearing the end.

Aye, I know. I've worked with them in a meadows biome before, but seeing as my base is at least half a click from the nearest temperate biome, that's...not exactly viable.

Ah...yes that would be a slight problem. Hey could be worse, bee's are one of my favorite things and well I live in the Savannah on my server. I've all but put them off due to the large amount of time acclimatizing bee's to temp-up 2 and humid-up 2. So as much as I like them I figure I'll let someone else do them who lives in a normal biome for now and just barter for products to make a bit of an economy.

Unmodified, they actually want cold, not temperate. Besides, by the time the end bees are really needed you should have genetic machines and be able to add temp/humidity tolerances, or nocturnal to work in the end.

Or there are alvearies.

Also a fair warning here. Ender bees huuuuurt. Wear your bee suit.

I bet Unstable is worse. As in, I died so fast it was actually funny.

Instead of a bee suit though, I broke the block with a turtle and overwrote the effect with beautific

Well, when you can overwrite the effect, that is all good, but sometimes, like early on, you might just make an apiarist "set" of armor, to completely negate any and all bee effects.

Actually, haven't gotten any genetic machines yet...though, I completely forgot about em, so its not like I've intentionally neglected em or anything.

As for the damage...modular power suits are a godsend, lemme tell ya. They may still hit me, but their damage is negligible, at best.

From Extra Bees since v1.5.0.0:
The Alveary Lighting allows bees to work at night, regardless of if they are nocturnal. (Source)
