  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title:
SkyFactory 2.5 Corrupted World
Launcher Version:
1.4.12
Modpack:
FTB Presents Skyfactory 2.5
Modpack Version:
2.5.0
Log Link:
Details of the issue:
I was playing my world when my power went out. Upon starting my computer back up and trying to reload my world, I got this message:
"Forge Mod Loader detected that the backup level.dat is being used.

This may happen due to a bug or corruption, continuing can damage your world beyond repair or lose data/progress.

It's recommended to create a world backup before continuing."
With a Yes and No button on the button. The Yes button closed the client and nothing happened and the No button took me back to the main screen of the modpack. I tried making a new world and copying over the files and loading that world as some places say to do but it still does nothing.

I don't know if this is the proper log (or even if it produces a log for corrupted worlds) but this is the most recent one after the power outage crash. Thanks.

Yep, Minecraft is extremely vulnerable when it comes to sudden loss of power.

Now, first of all take a backup of the world. I have no idea if this is the only corrupted thing in there, but you could try deleting the "SimpleAchievements" folder from your world folder.

Thanks for the reply, Moasseman. Unfortunately I am still getting the same message about backup level.dat being used after deleting the Simple Achievements Folder.

I know this thread is a little old but if anybody has any other advice to fix this, I would appreciate it. I work 24 hour shifts and I know I'm not that far into this modpack but I don't have the time to start over. Thanks a lot!

If you have a backup you can restore it, if not you can start over and cheat in items to catch up where you were. I really recomment installing a mod to take bakups.

Unfortunately I did not have a backup. I guess if there is no other option then I will start over or cheat in items to catch up to my spot. Just a bummer.
