Thing is each individual mod impacts the game differently. You could make a mod that adds one block that will lag you like you have a 6x6 chunk factory making all the things depending on what it does or if it's poorly coded. Or you could add a mod that adds 100 blocks that has minimal impact.

However I must applaud you penchant for making a leaner pack. Just hope you are not just chopping at things that seem laggy but aren't. I'd remove Factorization because I just don't use it making it pointless to be there.
Then again I make my own packs from scratch.

To answer the initial question; Yes, remove it if you find it prudent. But check if you world isn't using it's ore gen otherwise you may get short on silver and lead.

god freaking damn it! You are right! I knew I forgot about something! The ore gen! Luckily I make regular backups!
And yes, I only remove mods that I have no use for (Factorization, as it seems, is very important for my ore generation!)...
EDIT: Hey, at least I get my collection of Logic Matrix Programmers back!

How is it important for your oregen, it only has silver and dark iron? or is the special bedrock screwing you over?
If you are going to keep it, give http://purpleposeidon.github.io/FzDocs/ a look. Maybe you find a use for factorization

The laser drill (MFR) gives me some factorization ores. I put the mod back, but I still won't use it in this modpack, my world is too laggy and I just don't have a use for the mod at this point. I don't want anybody to think that I don't like the mod or that it's not good! Thanks for the "manual" though!

So I take it FZ generated your ore?

Also to others; FZ adds silver and lead removing it will cause silver and lead to dissappear completely from your world assuming FZ is the only mod generating the ores. You might get away with it if you have thermal Expansion generating ore too.

FZ does not generate lead, you get lead out of the silver ore it generates. this still means that lead ingots from that mod will disappear when you uninstall that mod
