If you keep up with the self-deprecation I may be forced to use Mariculture to spite you ;)

Considering the 'processing' is pretty much an upgradable smeltery(not as cool as one either cos it's smaller) atm, it's not exactly hard to do/interesting to watch ;). Plus I really want to watch some Factorization, since I don't really understand the point of it :p

Factorization is definitely one of my favourite mods, probably in my top 3. But Mariculture does look interesting. I was already planning on giving it a go in my new survival world. I like to have several ore processing lines working in tandem anyway and Mariculture is one of the few I haven't tried that I have available so even if I do some more factorization, mariculture will still get some attention. But this is Shoop's thread so I will just leave it at that

I like Factorization but to be honest if I do Factorization I would use SFM again instead of the servos I find the servos to slow and limited compared to SFM when it comes to automation. SFM is honestly become one of my favorite mods.

Hello saice. Really enjoying the LP. I can see how you are totally going to use SFM for everything. I saw vswe doing a stream before where he tried to automate all the things with only one Manager, and oh man, by the end he still had space to do much more than he had planned.

One of the things I realized while doing the FZ automation with servos is that the servos don't need to be fast. They have 20 (is it? I actually don't remember) minutes to fill the 5 slots of the crystallizer for one operation. so the fact that they are a little slow has actually no impact, considering of course using them for FZ processing.

Sure but you want to automate more then just the crystallizer as not everything can go in them and you can run more then one crystallizer at a time I belive my last factory build has 8 or 10 of them for each ore type. FZ ore processing is full of bottle necks sure but there is no reason to make it more so with servos. With SFM I can move stuff in and out of the FZ line as needed depending on if it is something that can be double or trippled. I could mix it with other ore and porcessing systems with out much trouble and thanks to stuff like the cable bundles and camo options I can make it nice and neat with out have 30 servors running all over the place on rails.

Servos are nice just not what I need for this build and the ascetics I am going with.

Just been doing some mining and random side stuff not much.

One recent updates removed Growthcraft fish traps so thats wrecked my plan for fish power as everything else is not all that power positive or not automatable. So I'm working on also trying to decide on a power system for this build now. Something automatable that is renewable/farmable and does not have a huge foot print. Might just end up going with solar and hide them in the clouds maybe.

Maybe you could do a servo based carrot farm and use the carrots in either a culinary generator or in a caliometric burner and use that to create energy. Or you could go with a pink generator based approach and and try to farm dyes. Something new and creative not boring like solars

Not at all I encourage folks to share what they got and the Showcase sub forum is here for just such a thing. Just no 9x9 Bases ok. :p[DOUBLEPOST=1394041685][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yeah servos are cute and all but I really just dislike how they function and there limitations. They do look nice but I have a hard time getting around their limited command set and slow as tar speeds.

I am thinking about the caliomertic burner to make steam using most likely either the MFR fisher if I can make it power positive or apples from a large Growthcraft apple tree orchid.
