That's a lie. The grinder kills TF mobs just fine. (in Minecraft version 1.5+, that is)

It doesn't kill those angry endermen from the dartcraft mod in the 152ngt pack, so I did some research and I read it won't kill mod-spawned mobs ... looks like that isn't entirely correct anymore, there seems to be an api to register your mobs with minefactory reloaded so the grinder can kill registered mobs.

Now, back to quarrying out that labyrinth!
Fillers are much better. I cleared the surrounding area 64 blocks wide down to river level, covered it with water, then cleared under the water down to near bedrock. You could make it easier by having a turtle lay half slabs instead of using water, they will lay it in the bottom half if there is a block underneath, top half if not. Actually, a filler is better here as well as I think it always lays half slabs in the bottom half.

I just realised I've made a catastrophic error. I think I built my shifting floor too high. It's only spawning vanilla mobs and those blue Twilight Forest elephant fellas. Well, that's several weeks' work down the drain!

FYI the spawning floor needs to be at Y-level 24 or below, i.e. where your co-ords read "25.62 (24)" when you stand on it.
