About the Server​

SheepHaven.net first started out as a vanilla SMP server, albeit not a very successfull one. The decision to switch to FTB was made as soon as FTB was first released, however the whole point of SheepHaven.net is to provide a reliable and pleasant experience, which requires a lot of work and thought.​

The Server is located in germany. It is a VPS with 6 GB Ram available. The current number of max slots is set to 20.​

Features​

Apart from a forum and a TS and/or mumble server which can be made available upon request, most features are backend features. While freezes and crashes are unfortunaly inevitable, the server should be able to recover quickly and automatically.​

Disabled items/mods​

The server is running the Mindcrack Modpack v7, however some mods have been disabled: Portalmod (due to instability, griefing potential), traincraft, feed stations and canvas bags (item duping potential).​

Map resets​

There are currently no plans to reset the world unless absolutely necessary.​

​

Rules​

There's really only a single rule: Use common sense. This includes no griefing, no stealing, general friendliness and of course listen to the moderators as well as everyone else. Proper communication is the key to fun and teamwork.​

Building Style​

Basically, you can do whatever you like, but teamwork is encouraged. We have a community base with machines and farms near the spawn, but if you are the lone wolf type of player that's fine as well.​

IP and Whitelist Applications​

The IP for the minecraft server is SheepHaven.net, which is also the URL for the website/forum. Whitelist Applications are made on the forum (or in this thread, but posting on the forum instead is encouraged) and don't have a specific format. Write a paragraph or three about yourself and why you want to join. Whitelist Applications are supposed to be nearly identical to Introduction Posts!​

There is no minimum age, but a minimum amount of maturity required. GMT-ish timezone is encouraged, but not required.​

Info: I'm mature, and mostly friendly. The reason i say mostly is because im always friendly if people are friendly to me I know all the mods a little bit. But im really good with most of the mods. I tend to really get into the community and get to know everyone I live in Denmark GMT+1 and i will play on the server as much as i can

Im not realy new to the minecraft community i have joined minecraft at 1.7.3 , not that old but im pretty good at minecraft to my opinion...

To the FTB Community I am pretty new i joined 5 days after the launcher was released at beta

Hey I'm Tom, I'm 13 years old and am in the top 2% most intelligent kids of my age in the country I live in (Ireland).
I've been playing minecraft for a good while now, a bit more than a year I think. I had a go at the FTB mods before they were in a modpack and then my MC started crashing so I switched back to vanilla. As soon as FTB came out I started playing it, currently loving the BC3 mechanics and gregtech! Can't wait for Redpower 2 though as I absolutely love that! I play gaelic football which is the main Irish sport, basketball, swimming and I like a bit of soccer and table tennis. I ply guitar and am starting a band with two other lads in my year. In minecraft I also play on another small server called Luincraft. On servers I tend to keep to myself and start of with normal vanilla farms like wheat,carrots and potatoes and animal farms aswell as tree farms and pumpkins/melons if I'm lucky enough!

I hope that's enough for you.

About me: well firstly I'm writing this on my mobile phone. So you won't get 3 Paragraphs before I tire of the keyboard. I'm an engineer in Rl I work in maintenance in a glass works. Many machines are pc and logic controlled these days so I kinda fell into ftb naturally after playing vanilla for a bit.
I actually started playing Mine craft mobile first while on a train journey to Scotland to visit the fringe festival. I liked the mobile version so I bought the full version when I returned from the fringe. Set about learning redstone in a big way but soon got tired of finding anything decent in redstone is Huge.
I started playing Ftb soon after release after seeing vids on you tube. They were probably recommended due to the number of redstone vids I've watched.
Until recently I've been playing on mcraftworlds test server. It seems the test didn't go so well as the server went unreachable on Sundays and hasn't been up since.
I'm looking for a reliable server with decent people who are mature enough not to grief and wind each other up. If things work out I don't mind contributing so long as the experience is worth paying for.

So anyway I'm at work and have a breakdown to attend to. Hope to hear from you.

As for contributing, I will not be encouraging donations in any way (i.e. donator perks and all that stuff) and will in fact recommend not to donate unless you really really want to. This may or may not change however if the server should ever require an upgrade (which it hopefully shouldn't). Can you also copy-paste your app over to sheephaven.net when you can?
