Then I fear we are now at Luma's part. Please whatever you do, don't blame yourself nothing you could do would help it could only went worse for her.
The magic that sits in Xavro knows that Xavro doesn't live forever and thus just like every being wants to reproduce. It has two options, the first and the easiest is just like you and me except that the host will do all the work. This however doesn't always work if the partner is also not for a lack of better word infected. This is where the second way and Luma comes in. The second way is to infect other beings that where not infected since birth. This process is slow and takes a lot of energy.
I want to say again that what happens to Luma is not your fault, even if you tried to separate the two they would try everything to be together,even violence.
Xavro liked her when he saw her in the arena, the magic inside him used this for its own advantage when it saw that Luma was alive again. It made Xavro give that bone to her so they could talk, and only so that the magic could influence her as soon as possible. Luma started to like the real Xavro, making it even easier for the magic to spread to her. Eventually Luma was ready to get it in her so the magic splitted itself and put a part it in Xavro's hearth for Luma to consume.
