Severs dont work

When i try to make a sever the little sever box just goes away immediately.:( this is happening for all the mod packs too. please help!!??

Sorry but is this a troll post? :p

You have to unpack the contents of the zip file to a folder and run it, you can't run the server from inside winrar like your video shows.
