Server Install Help

Hi All,

I have searched and couldn't find anything and the link on the site to download the server is not working.

Where can i obtain more information to install the server via wget?

You can first off tell us what the problem is.

You can get the files in the FTB Beta Launcher. There is a button " Download server files". Click that, you download a .rar file.
Extract the file, connect with FTP or SFTP to your VPN or VPS, and put the files in the folder you want. Then you can just run it with a SSH/Screen command.

With linux make sure your user that you run your server with have the correct "Rights" to read and write configs, data and flatfiles.

If you seem to get acces errors try giving the files that error "777" See if that solves it if so you can tweek the permissions.

Yup . sould be that link. Aint home at the moment so dont have acces to the launcher to check the link. Still have to untar it if you do a direct download from the Repo link

Hi,

I tried to download it from the main site under downloads and the button for server download does nothing. I will downloaded the beta launcher and opened it but couldn't see a button to download server.

Can you actually play the game ? From what i can see its just the news feed that is not connecting.

Yes the game does open. I get that error screen on all tabs i click.I just copied the last one i clicked on.

Yeah i think it is just the news feed in your launcher that is unable to connect. Nothing to wurry about atm

how can we install the server, if we only have ftp access? i cannot start any linux commands or create a batch file?

well you need some sorth of command acces or remote desktop to start applications

We will not teach you how to run or mod a server. We will not set it up for you. We will not teach you how to use FTP. Please stop spamming this question on the forums.
