Hi, I am looking to make a feed the beast server on ultimate. I would like to disable some mods and put some different ones on. I do not know how to do anything on it, I run the server file, it tells me the server addresss, I go to the server in thye multiplayer, and it says it has a problem iwith the connection. Can someone give me a guide, I have been looking for 2 hours with no help. I do not want to pay for server hosting, can I do it from my own computer. I have 32 gb of ram, so i should be able to use it. I s there any way I can Use my current single player world for the server? I have no idea what any of the computer terms are and most of the guides for me are like reading a whole other language.

First of all to disable mods, just cut the mod out of the mods folder within your server directory. Second, some mods can be installed to the server by simply pasting them into that same mods folder. Any other instructions can be found just by googling "adding mods to feed the beast". As for the server itself, where are you connecting from? If you are playing from the same computer you are hosting on then just connect to 'localhost'. If you can connect that way, your server software is fine. Also, if your single player world is on ultimate, i think you can copy it into your server folder, simply make a backup of the old world and move your single player world in its place. The folder should just be titles "world". And if there are any "computer terms" you are struggling with, just post them here so the users can better help you.

I never said I'd have any problems reading...? Besides, setting a server up is just a minor part of running a server.

I meant: Watching a tutorial helps you a lot understanding basic stuff and you dont have to find them out by yourself.

It worked, but how do i change it to peaceful mode and what do my friends do to login to the server? Also, how do i allocate more ram to it?

The server.properties file is what you search.
More RAM is allocated by changing the start script.

Friends need your IP (hamachi IP) + be in the same hamachi network as you.
