Alright, so I am running into a seemingly random issue. Sometimes my server appears to deadlock. Now what do I mean by this. I mean that it is still running and still processing but players cannot log on. The only way to resolve it is to restart the server.
I cannot figure out what causes this. It is important to note this is not a crash. So there are no logs or anything of that nature. It is simply the server is still online but users cannot connect or the server is "Pinging" forever.
I come across this issue randomly and I have no way to track it down, and no way to resolve it. The server does restart it self once a night and the caches are cleared out regularly.
Anyone have any advise on how to resolve this or work around it? I am on a dedicated box so I have full root access and control over everything. Perhaps a script that checks to see if it is in this deadlocked state since Multicraft doesn't seem to pick it up. So that it restarts itself?
