I tend to make my own base a little bit away from everyone else, just to make sure I'm not in the way, but I don't mind helping out on community projects and I usually end up with a house in someone's town as well.

Once. I was visiting some random server to see what people had built and showed someone the piston glitch that existed at the time. That supposedly ruined the economy they had, I think the person who saw it duplicated diamond blocks. Needless to say, the mods weren't amused and everyone got banned (that one for duping, me for showing the piston thing).
I used to visit other servers (without building/interfering in their builds) to get inspired. I usually end up making cube-shaped rooms in minecraft myself..

Which mod packs are you most familiar with?
I've played DW20 for several months, both SSP and SMP. Recently moved over to Ultimate, because I'm curious about all the stuff Gregtech adds. I've played around a bit in singleplayer, but I haven't been beyond the starting point yet (industrial blast furnace).

Pictures, videos, or descriptions of things you have built:
It's usually 2x2 or 3x3 chunks, several floors (because of chunk loading) with everything inside that. Tanks, power generation, apiaries/alvearies, barrel/tube sorting system, processing line, you name it.
Obviously, it looks a bit boring, just really efficient on space. Which is why I don't have pictures of it.

Both. I like building my own house, and once that's set up fairly well, I like helping other people. And by helping I mean either physically assisting with building stuff, or setting up an energy tesseract so they can siphon some of my MJ supply, or improving their bees on request, or whatever really.
