Hi all, recently after a server restart, my rotarycraft woodcutter has almost completely destroyed my factory. Now every time I place a raw wood block UNDER him (it doesn't touch block above him and also the tree in front of him) in a 40 block radius it destroys it.
I don't know what to do anymore...anyone know what can have caused this?

It's probally you are giving it too much rads/s.
Speed = Power/efficency
More speed = more range(probaly)

This is my geuss, I have not tried the woodcutter before.

Power(W) = Speed(rad/s) * Torque(Nm)

Woodcutters range should be 1 unless something has changed drastically in the last few patches.

On topic: What version of RoC are you running? Will it continue same behavior after you break and replace it?

The version is the 16c, and yes, it continued even after many repositioning, I didn't understand the problem as it started, but I've solved letting it destroy everything and replacing manually almost everything (not only the cutter itself, but also the engine, the cables, the fertilizer to the side and the ground beneath him)
That was a really bad experience :D but now it's solved, now i'm scared of restarting the server again or restarting the cutter.

Maybe flag Mr REMOVED for his insight? :)

I know he lurks these forums regularly.

The version is the 16c,
You're using a very, very outdated version of the mod. Woodcutter has had some bug fixes in later versions, and updating to newest version of the mod should be the first thing you do when you encounter a problem.

The guy's 20 versions behind, don't think summoning Reika is a good idea.

ESPECIALLY with RotaryCraft!

Definitely agree with this, you're asking for an unpleasant conversation.

By the by, I thought it had to be more than 20, but I did a quick count and its actually around 17 versions since then. And then I realized: the changelog on his site is truncated and only represents 1.7.10 at that. So, yeah, we're talking about RotaryCraft in its infancy.

@Marcobanana, I suspect you're tied to a particular Monster world or perhaps Horizons; you should consider updating your Rotarycraft to v30, which if I recall correctly is the last 1.6.4 version.

( I wonder if there's a full change log somewhere )

Geez didn't realise it was that many versions!

I unsummoned him from my post.

I apologise for summoning you in vain oh most powerful one, if you happen to wander on this thread in any case!

I'll save him some trouble and let my avatar give you a long disapproving look. Then get you off lightly.

I just used 20 as a big number representing the huge cap; the correct amount would be 33/34

First you report a bug from a version a year and a half old (even outdated for any pack using RC), then when repeatedly told to update to 25z, you half-ass it to v23? How are you able to get anywhere with RC with that lack of effort and/or reading comprehension?

If you ever expect support or help with anything ever again, I want to see proof that you are at least using v25z, and even then, many bugs since then have been fixed for 1.7.10. If you ignore what people are saying again and make further pleas for help when using a version so badly out of date, you will not enjoy the resultant discussion.

The user is clearly not technically adept or interested in making modifications to the pack. In such instances the user may be a youth or otherwise disadvantaged, and while the argument could be made that the mods in question are potentially "not for" him or her as a result, its not really appropriate for us to say so or to deride them for their possible inability to make these modifications.
