Revelation Load Times

Hello All,

Trying to determine if the load time I'm experiencing is normal ... seeing 4.5 - 5.5 minutes on a box with the following stats:
- i7-7820HK
- 32 GB RAM
- GTX 1080

What are other folks seeing?

It does load - was mostly curious of that load time was normal.

How much ram are you allocating? If you are running a 1.12.2 modpack you don't need more than 6-8GB for modded Minecraft plus what you need for any resource packs (shaders).

If you are running 1.7.10 to 1.11.x 4-6GB is plenty.

Allocating too much ram causes the memory management built into Java, in conjunction with Minecraft to barf all over itself trying to keep memory available.

Beyond that, the rest of the system is overkill for Minecraft (not a BAD thing )

My system is:
-Ryzen 1600 (OCed to 3750MHz)
-16GB DDR4 ram @3000MHz
-GTX 1060, 6GB ram

I see framerates over 100 nearly all the time. I've not worried about load times because they aren't bad for me.
