This Tree Farm was specifically designed to power my base back home. It has the wood. It cooks the wood into Charcoal. Any Saplings go back into the planter to be planted into more trees, or disposed of in the Trash Bin.
It gets rid of the Apples, and as I said the excess Saplings.
Then it sends the Charcoal to an Ender Chest to be sent to my base, and used as fuel for the five Steam Dynamos to power said base.

Is this not the way to do this?

This sounds decent, but I would make sure enough power is generated at the site of the farm to power it (a dedicated dynamo would be enough). That way you don't run into any hiccups if your power grid gets shuffled somehow.

Alternatively, you could use MFR Steam Boilers to create steam at the farm (400mb/t steam per boiler) and then Ender Tank the steam home for use in the dynamos (or as I do, a BR turbine) both on site and at base.

I'm actually considering that Dynamo idea you suggested. Because I'm still having problems with sending power, when I have plenty back at the base.

Ok. Progress report. I tried a Steam Dynamo with all three power upgrades (stole them off of my old Magmatic Dynamos that I didn't need anymore) and use an Ender Tank to get water from my base and into the Dynamo.

It worked for about 10-15 minutes, then I noticed the water draining from the Dynamo, and it was also draining from the Tank. It felt that Minecraft was trying to sabotage my work.
Remembering I had OptiFine and WorldEdit for Forge installed, I tried removing them. So far... it's been two days and I haven't had any problems with remotely linking something to and from my base. I'm cautiously optimistic to put the blame on OptiFine.

Personally, I don't see how it could be, since it only controls chunk rendering around the player. Yet it seems to also control how chunks are loaded by Chunk Loaders (aka, screwing them up and acting like there's not even one there).

There's also one thing I don't get, though. It's unrelated to the issue. But, it seems when at complete nightfall, the MFR Harvester harvests several logs, then delays for like 1-2 seconds before doing it again. I got the Void Fluid Pipe, and I'm not seeing any issues with power.

EDIT: It's definitely proving to be Optifine's fault. I switched the Dynamo with the Tesseract, and I'm now getting Charcoal at anytime. No more issues with chunks not being correctly loaded.
When they said "Optifine isn't compatible with FTB", they weren't kidding...

I'll deal with the low FPS, having rain almost everyday, seeing water drips and the depth fog near the Bedrock level... to make this work.

Optifine isn't compatible with Forge (in 1.7.10), it's not "FTB" as such, the 2 clash, some people can "get it to work" by not using the ultra version but as you found out it does more than just FPS.
