yesterday (or 2 days ago depending on timezones) Slowpoke received notice that he cannot accept any money for anything directly FTB related, this means that the donate section on the main site will need to disappear

donate button per mod directly to the author is still allowed

I believe the donations section, once available, allows users to donate to the respective mod authors whose mods are in the FTB pack and will not be donations to the FTB team.
