Ok guys gonna keep this short and to the point basically I'm getting a lot of lag and i want a way to reduce it currently I've disabled bee animations and disabled the lights inside ME Cables so that has helped and I've disabled all voxel mods except voxel map because i need that for waypoints so can you guys tell me any other ways to reduce lag i installed optifine but it just ruins my grass so i removed it so yea any of you guys got ideas please tell me thanks

1. Never EVER use optifine. EVER
2. What modpack? Use Thermal expansion in place of other machines as much as you can, and is it SSP or SMP?

Definitely try to tune down Graphic settings and use TE for as many machines as you can. Also are you the admin of the server, or a random player?
Random player :p[DOUBLEPOST=1388382708][/DOUBLEPOST]

And i use IC2 Machines but i use igneous extruder aqueous accumulator for that stuff etc

the solar panels and wind mills aren't helping you much, turning off bee animations in the forestry config may help you a bit. Other than that maybe try upping your RAM allocation may help you a bit (too much can actually hinder performance).

Edit. I personally use 3gb of Ram, I do use Optifine went from 50 fps to 120 fps however there was a lot of swearing involved in getting it to play nice and it took awhile to set everything properly so I wouldn't get bugs.

well, if that's ultimate, good god man, you do Not need that many disks. AE in 1.4.7 is horrendous on SMP if you get too crazy with them, and you have past that threshold by far :p

i recommend breaking your ME system up. beastly, sprawling ae setups lag. try and build AE's as machines, like...purpose built. For example: AE network A controls processing ore and only ore processing, AE network B stores things and only stores things, and AE network C is your IC2 MAC (Not your build-everything MAC, because those don't work either), MAC Network D is Forestry/TE, and so on. Use level limiters to keep your MAC's supplied from your Storage AE. All of this is so that your entire network isn't getting pegged just because you want to smelt 6 sand.

i'm not sure why optifine is a no nowadays, it worked fine for me on ult.

heh... seriously, you have way too many disks...have way too many...way too...many...disks...(trails off) but yeah, the constant pinging of 100+ disks is probably not helping your lag any :p

anyway, if you follow my scheme for network layout above you won't need more than two 4k drives in any of the machines. except in the storage ME, knock yourself out.

The easiest fix that comes to mind just looking at that picture is this:

Stop building everything so that you can see all of it at once. You have plenty of power sounds like, you can put 99.9% of your AE system somewhere else. Somewhere your client doesn't have to render any of it.

When you build in the open with everything on top of each other client lag is unavoidable. Regardless of how much you optimize you'll just use those optimizations to build more stuff right there ending up laggy again.

If you are allowed to use chunkloaders on that server move most of that stuff far away and use tesseracts/ender chests/quantum link chambers/etc. to connect all of it. If you're not able to do that you might see some benefit from putting some of that far underground yet in the same chunk. I don't know how minecraft renders everything but putting some vis blockers helps in many other games.

Oh, and as everybody has said, 100+ disks is insane, regardless of how great a deal you got on them. My main AE system nowadays is typically one Drive with 16k disks and anything that I need to keep more than 1k of gets its own DSU/Storage Bus pair and that warehouse of items isn't anywhere near my main workshop. It is in a well-lit bunker, usually in an entirely different dimension.
