So I tried using the redstone engine but it doesn't even turn on... so I don't really know what to do now. Is there a certain engine I'm supposed to use? I watch iJevins let's play and he used redstone engines but mine won't work. I have tried using wooden pipe and stone pipe. As I said the engine isn't pumping so maybe it got glitched or something (I made sure that the lever was switched).

The Redstone Engine should be used for that purpose, in fact that is its ONLY purpose. One thing to check is the orientation of the wooden pipe. Sometimes when you place it, the pipe gets placed backwards to where you want it, and you have to whack it with a wrench to turn it around.

I'm going to say that the pipe isn't orientated properly. a wooden pipe should have a darkened end and a see-through end. The darkened end is the side the pipe will pull from. If the pipe is facing the wrong way, right-click it with a buildcraft wrench or crescent hammer.

Well I just tried to start the engine outside and it's not doing anything... any other suggestions?

Is there anything to pull out? If a forestry machine, are you pulling from the correct side? Screenshots would be helpful

Engines won't turn on if there's no work to do, for the engine outside your house, there's no pipe to power and no inventory to draw from so the engine won't turn on.
On the inside of your house, the engine needs to directly power the pipe, not the inventory.

Ok so I got the redstone engine working but now the dust is not moving through the pipe, maybe wait for it to heat up? Sorry for all of the questions but I'm a bit of a FTB noob.

So yeah a screenshot would be of great help here. Take a screenshot, post it to imgur or whatever pic service you want and inert it into a post. I am sure one of use will be able to figure out your problem in about half a second of looking at the screenshot.

I already posted 2 images if your talking about the engine... I'll post another one for the transportation though.[DOUBLEPOST=1357790123][/DOUBLEPOST]http://imgur.com/C19HH The new setup

Pipes care about which face they connect to for an IC2 machine. Top side is for the input slot, bottom for the battery slot, and FRONT is for output slot. Hooking up a pipe to the side won't do anything.

Actually, IC2 machines use all the sides as an output, though from the pictures he has two issues. First is that the pipe is pointed in the wrong direction, and the second is that it will attempt to input the dusts into the output of the machine.

Well the problem is there is no engine on the other wooden pipe ic2 machines will not self eject like TE machines.[DOUBLEPOST=1357794546][/DOUBLEPOST]And the backwards pipe...and it should be hooked to the top of the furnace

Yep the wooden pipe between your macerator and furnace is backwards whack it with a buildcraft wrench to turn it and it should work. You will also need another engine to pull the ingots from your furnace to the chest

Ok so I did it and it's moving through but when it get's to the electric furnace the dust just passes through and does not cook. What should I do?

Ok that wooden pipe between your macerator and your furnace needs to go into the top of the furnace.. with it coming in the side it is actually putting the dust into the output slot of the furnace. Have that pipe go up and into the top of the furnace and that will work fine.

The way I usually work an IC2 machine line is Macerator above the furnace, pump out of the macerator into the top of the furnace and out of the furnace into a chest. With the power cables behind everything. Simplifies the workflow for me.

Now the engine is pumping but the macerator is spitting out the ore (Or whatever you put in there) into the pipes and in the furnace. The good news is the furnace is working the way it should. Here's a picture of what's going on and again sorry for asking so many questions lol http://imgur.com/fFdGp
