I am currently playing modded mc on a radish. (a potato's big brother!) I play DNS tech pack and FTB infinity and I always get 20 fps or lower on around 4-6 chunks with everything to the lowest or off with optifine. I also use fastcraft. I was wondering if there is a good gaming/all purpose computer out there within the price range of $500 or so. The computer I use is also a laptop with 3 cores and integrated graphics so I can't believe I actually put up with modded on the 2 core desktop ;). Thanks in advance!

If possible you're going to want to build a computer yourself. You will get a much better computer for the same price if you build, because manufacturers charge more for the same specs, because of the brand, pre-built, etc. Do you already have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, or will you be paying for that, too? One website you could check out is http://www.logicalincrements.com. However, as always, be sure to compare and figure out what is best for you. Because Minecraft doesn't require a super good graphics card, but does need a good cpu, you could possibly spend a little less on the graphics card and more on a nicer cpu.
