Not always. English is starting to get natural for me.Non-native English speakers normally put a bit of effort into their written English. (or constantly apologise for their near-perfect mastery of the language)

TIL that people from central IL sound nothing like people up here near Chicago.I'm from central Illinois - I pronounce it "suhtistics", along with "warsh" and "libary".
I think this happens to everyone occasionally. It's especially funny when they pronounce a bunch of complicated 5+ syllable words, then they mess up on something with 2-3 syllables that any 4-year-old could pronounce.I'm a native speaker and sometimes my mouth makes random noises for words I know perfectly well
