What you mean? Which blocks? (besides the wand of equivalent exchange :p)
owgwSSq.jpg

I use these to protect my gate and to "airlock" any new area I'm digging tunnels into to place fence for an enderquarry. If I trigger a bunch of hellfish I just run back behind the stones of warding and kill them safely from range.

Adonis0 replied while I was posting this, oops. :)

Maybe we shouldn't be posting stuff like this, giving Jadedcat ideas about what to remove from the pack!

I think give her ideas to make it harder is what we should be doing xD If we download agrarian skies is because we want it hard :p

Don't see much of a need to go in the nether at all when ...

You can create a MFR tree farm, take the sludge from it and run it into a sludge boiler, from which you get netherrack, soul sand, heat sand and tainted soil. Combine the heat sand and tainted soil to get more soul sand. Sieveing soul sand so far has given me nether quartz, nether wart, ghast tears, various Natura stuff like saplings, berry bushes and glowshrooms.
You can also get it through Ex Nihilo in a much cheaper way.

Witchwater + sand in a barrel

I must be the only one who doesn't have problems in the Nether, I go in there, mine a bunch of ore, go back and pulverise it all. I've got like a stack of Redstone blocks from everything I've pulverised along with about half a stack of coal blocks and various dusts.

The only time I get attacked by Hellfish is when I mine Netherrack or when Quartz explodes. The Nether is ridiculously OP when it comes to getting Ores and Ingots.

Unless of course the Nether for AS is meant to be a custom one, in which case the one that generated for me is a problem.
Which is actually why I came here, is the Nether in AS meant to be specfically generated or does the generation upon creating a new world have the same kind of Nether?

Silk Touch on a tool will prevent ores from exploding or pigmen from becoming angry. Not sure if it prevents hellfish...
After you have the silk touched ores, you can bring them back to the overworld and then mine them there.

This one time, my nether portal transmogrified a normal pigman on the Nether side into an Infernal Mob on the Overworld side. It was a sad, sad day...

Not when your game is unplayable and the command would fix it.
I wouldn't call it unplayable, because it doesn't happen without the player making a mistake. On top of that, if you prepared yourself properly you'll be able to redeem yourself.

If not, well, that's what hardcore is about.

I don't mean "unplayable" as in "get your ass kicked"

I mean "unplayable" as in "there's 5435345345 entities that melt your computer to liquid form"

I didn't think of that. I suppose a command is excusable enough in that situation.

I am able to one- or two-hit just about anything with my frying pan and I can tank a swarm of hellfish, yet I had to resort to the command several times due to unlucky hellfish boss attributes. Particularly, ones that shoot fireballs that then trigger other hellfish to pop out on impact.

The server locked up shortly after that. Upon restarting, I used the command to kill about 600 hellfish.
