When it came to the "slide bar" i wasn't able to go past 3.75 which was throwing me off because i have 8g ram. and as i said above i am using x64 7java , but soryr i didn't list OS. but i finally figured out why it was only letting me have a max of 3.75g ram some how one of my sticks wasn't pressed it all the way so my computer was only finding 4g out of the 8g ram but thank yall for posting.

Your computer will not need more then 5gb of ram allocated, any more and it will just be a waste of resources.
