[Question] Are any of the modpacks in FTB uptodate with MC 1.8?

No, the most recent packs are still in Alpha and 1.7, as most mods are not updated.
Depending on the popularity of Running Red 2, I may or may not have TV be my first 1.8 pack.

Yeah I don't see Forge for 1.8 coming out any time soon, from the look of things. And that doesn't count the time it'll take to bring mods over once that's finished. You're probably looking at months before there are any FTB 1.8 packs.
I just saw a screenshot in the last couple days that forge is running on 1.8. I'm pretty sure it is a dev version, but it is there. 
But like you said, it will be months before the mods are out and working for it. 1.7.10 is just now becoming well supported by the modding community, and it has been out for a few months already.

You're probably referring to this screenshot that Lex tweeted a few days ago. Unfortunately you'll notice that Forge is missing. Seems it was only an early build of FML. Going by the Github activity, Forge doesn't seem to have been touched yet.

You are right, it was. Sometimes I forget that there is a difference between FML and forge itself.
When and if they are ready.
You can check the mods thread, and the launcher will notify you when there is an update.
