I used to setting up Minecraft server. but I'm used to FTB ultimate.
I started thinking that I should try setting up a server in FTB Monster or Direwolf20 since they are more up to date. in Minecraft version. and more items/mods and so on.

My question is
1: is there a way to make the recipes harder like you could in FTB ultimate. where you needed machines to be able to build a quarry? and solar panels was much harder to make = end game machines.
2: why are some of the gragteck machines disabled like Industrial Grinder, centrifuge and so on. I used to use them in my setup. I know I can enable them. but why are they disabled in the first place.

The reason I'm asking is. that I'm not looking to play Monster or direwolf20 if they are why to easy and you get to have most of the machines right at the start. I want it more like ultimate hard recipes settings.
is this possible?

1. I think you can do it in each mod's configs, if not you can use a magic thing called Minetweaker.

2. Monster has no gregtech. In packs that do have it, no idea why certain machines are disabled by default.

so it's going to be a hassle me make all those changes :( maybe I should just go back to ultimate where it was more fun. since allot harder to get to endgame machines :)
what I read about minetweaker then I have to make my own recipes for each item I which to have harder to build. so that allot of machines. all gregteck and some others. to match the recipes in FTB ultimate :(

som1 told me to install Greg manually onto monster server to make the recipes hard. hope it works with no config*s to the new mods added since ultimate.

Certain machines in modpacks are disabled or altered due to being too OP or something like that, take Monster for example. Not long ago the modpack team disabled the option to pulverize wool into string.

My recommendation would be to play a fun and awesome pack called Test Pack Please Ignore. It will suite all your needs and add plenty for you to do (including Gregtech).

I would also like to mention that TPPI is quite laggy due to the large amount of mods it contains, so a beastly PC is required to get...good/great performance.
