Question about buildcraft pipes and gates

Is there a setup made using pipes and gates that works so that only 1 item goes to a certain destination? For example, if I place a stack of cobble in chest A I want that only 1 cobble goes to chest B, while the other 63 go to chest C. Is that possible?

It would be extremely easy to do with RP2 but not so much with buildcraft.

You're going to want to use RP2 pipes for this one. Buildcraft pipes work on random chance. Distribution pipes stopped being updated at 1.2.5 but you could use Additonal Buildcraft Objects to make something like this.

Yeah, see, one of the applications for this would be automated beekeeping. I have pipes that extract princesses and drones from the apiary and place them back inside. However, since I always get more than 1 drone, all the others are just shot out, which is annoying. I didn't want to use RP2 because I'd like to keep it compact.

Use an apiarist's pipe that will send the rest of the bees to a chest. I'll be covering this in our Let's Play as soon as I get enough propolises to make some :/

I am using apiarist pipes, but all I've managed to do is sending the princess and ALL the drones back into the apiary...
