When I put Sphax Pure BCCraft 128 in, My movement slows so much that in is unplayable. So I keep the texture pack off.
Am I the only one having this problem?
I am using a Mac with 8 Ram running.
I am playing Direwolf and ultimate modpack

Try using a 64x or even 32x texturepack and see if that works. Yet, a 128x is quite the resourcehungry fiend - add that to the already 'bloated' MC of FTB and yes, TPs do indeed cause lag if your system is not powerful enough. Also, how much of those 8gb do you have in use / allocated to MC?

Get a new comp, if it can't even run MC with a lowly texture pack its useless.

Yeah try alocate more memory to MC to see if that helps otherwise your CPU or GFX card may not be strong enough to handle that texture pack.

Thanks for the info.
I am using the 64, but it does not change the look of the blocks, bricks.
Any suggestions

Sounds as if the TP is not installed correctly - or the .zip could be a corrupted download. Where/How did you install it?

P.S. It wasn't meant to be funny, but it is fact that Macintosh is not a hardware base that is designed for gaming. It is specifically designed to work with a specific OS and hardware and it works well in that regard. Unfortunately that hardware is not designed for rendering games, it is designed for graphics design, audio/video editing, ease of use and longevity. The most expensive Mac with Windows running in an emulator is still worse that the cheapest gaming PC when it comes to playing a game.
