Are server version and client version the same?

Yes, server version and client version are the same. But my friend have more mods on his modpacks when it's loaded, and i not understand why.. I think the problem comes from there

Well, re-download the modpack

Could you try changing the install location to somewhere else than your user folder and then redownload the modpack once more? Something like c:\FTB

Some special characters can cause different variety of issues
