Hey all, just had time to start playing again. Installed Infinity and started playing. Now my Waila has a transparent background.

Click 0 on your numpad and it brings up a WAILA configuration screen. You might be able to change it from there.

X: the horizontal position of Waila
Y: the vertical position of Waila
Alpha: the transparency of Waila
Scale: the size of Waila

my preferred configuration is 100/94/0/55

if you don't want to constantly see all the information whether you can mine it or not you can change that like this...
0 > Modules > Harvestability
in this screen turn all the options that mentions "Sneak only: ..." to "Yes".
this way that information only shows up if you're holding the sneak button

the transparency is applied to the background and not to the whole WAILA window.
with 0 alpha you'll have no background, with 100 alpha you'll have a completely black window.

Okay, so the other person on my Infinity server said they are experiencing the same thing. Any idea what's going on?

having the same issue with the Regrowth modpack, i came to the assumption it has to do with the modpack creator changing configs to fit their preferences.

This should not be the case though, sure we want to play your modpack, but leave things as default other than what you need to change to make your modpack..

Things like this should always be default, especially when it's not so obvious how to fix the ugliness of not having the black background of waila...

Immediately after posting this i realize the Default button on the bottom of the waila config screen.. That solved the issue.

I think those settings apply to the client, not the server... Otherwise on servers there'd be a constant battle as everyone changed the settings to suit themselves. :D

Your other player needs to set their own favorites on their system.

I had a similar issue almost 5 minutes ago, i went to the configuration for when it goes on your screen, and clicked set to default.
