Private modded minecraft server-forge crashing

I tried making a server for me and my friend to play on. I downloaded the 1.7.10 vanilla server file and I extracted the forge 1.7.10 server file and put them both into a folder. I double clicked on the vanilla one and deleted all the files it made and then I double clicked on the forge server file and it loaded up, I set the EULA to true, and I looked at the console. (I also made sure hamachi was on)

Okay, I'll remove it and try again...

(A folder called "proxyworlds.log" also has appeared. I would assume that is because the server is trying to load..?)

How much RAM/perm gen are you giving the server? It is showing errors which minecraft... which is actually a crap way of saying "I can't run this server"

I actually forgot to change the permgen size *facepalm* ....can you change it in the vanilla launcher with java 8?

Java 8 doesn't use permgen

I have no idea if that would cause issues with your PC. I would recommend waiting until someone more Java 8 knowledgeable replies here

Replacing java 8 with java 7 should be fine and would be a pretty solid solution. It's been a year or two since I've used the vanilla launcher, so I can't help you with that, sorry.

This time it was Custom Main Menu...you should go over your mod list and remove all mods that make no sense on the server (don't remove NEI or Waila though)

WAILA can be removed though if it causes issues... I have never installed it on servers, because it used to have issues
