Just wanting to check my math here... i think i may be an idiot xD

AE system is currently using around 10 MJ/T

RF > MJ is 10:1 ?? from what i have read so far.

That would mean my machine is using around 100 RF/t

The problem i am having is that i have 8 Compression dynamos and 3 steam dynamos ( 80 rf/t a piece so around 880 rf/t ) hooked to my network and yet my ae network constantly doesnt have power. The only other things i have on my power grid are 2 refineries and a spot to charge a redstone energy cell. The energy cell is limited to 500 rf/t input. That would leave around 330 rf/t spare.

880 - 500 (cell) = 330 (33 mj/t)
330 - 100 (AE) = 220 (22mj/t)

I have read somewhere that refineries work at 8 mj/t so 80 rf/t x 2 = 160 rf/t or 16 mj/t

220 - 160 = 60 (6 mj/t)

Should leave me with 60 rf/t leftover.

The only thing i can think of is that the information i have gathered about the refinery is incorrect and it is sucking up all my power and just leaving me with shit. Im not sure. Maybe im just an idiot. If anyone has any ideas please let me know because it sure does suck when u keep pretty much everything you have in the AE network and its down when you need to access it.

Edit : Using FTB Direwolf20 v 1.0.11 Minecraft v 1.6.4 from the FTB Launcher

Um, just curious, how are you supplying the AE Network with power?
Also, which version of AE are you using? IIRC they added RF support in rv.14.finale3 which was released, uh, December 28th 2013 9:17PM -6:00?(at least, their site says that)

Maybe not as big as a deal as I thought.

Also, what pack are you using? That should have already been asked(or answered by you in your post).

Also, as an aside, I recall something about you being able to make RF out of MJ, but not the reverse(with just TE anyway, and without crazy tricks like Lava generation loops).

Yea probably should i have stated my pack xD i am using direwolf20 1.6 pack. so everything i have supports RF use. And from what i understand u can supply MJ machines with RF at a conversion of 10 Rf : 1 MJ but not the other way around. You cannot hook MJ to machines that require RF to power (such as the redstone furnace off the op of my head) .. In response to your first question all of my power is being transported using redstone energy conduit.

I do not have any system that produces BC power. I have been sticking with the TE dynamos for the reason that BC can use TE power but TE cant use BC power.

just checking the buildcraft wiki, it says they can take up 25 mj/t to do their thing, so what you probably read is a minimum energy requirement to work but like most BC things they can take more power to work faster
