Does @iChun actually read any forms where suggestions might be read?

I mean, I discovered portal and minecraft at about the same time so I love this mod and have wanted to do a Portal Gun themed base for a long time.

But - since MC 1.4.7 about -
* the thermal discouragement beams have been unfinished.
* I don't know how to get energy balls to bounce at 90 degrees - making any energy ball puzzle quite boring.
* The turrets targeting behavior can't be controlled by the recipe.
* and isn't even in the /config file. Instead you have to set it for each game in some per-save file.
* despite (nominally) chunkloading the chunk that contains a portal, stepping through a portal that links far away invariably glitches you into the floor and you need to spam jump for about 30s to get out.

Cant expect perfection. Modders have to redo their work every few months instead of working on new content which must be awfully boring. ichun only updated PG because people have been bugging him about it. It sucks because over the years I have seen lots of great modders get quickly burned out. Anyway, if I wanted to do a portal themed build, I would start by downloading the portal texture pack and replacing a bunch of mod textures with them.

I guess CB's question is "Is there somewhere where iChun hangs out and might be open to suggestions, requests, bug reports and other chatter about the mod, because the mod is glorious and we're enthusiastic fans and hope to help it grow?"

Wasn't he trying to tackle the portal rendering problem, mainly making it so it was seemless and not computer meltingly performance eating. That's why the last version had that feature disabled.
I think Ichun is working on it though. He relased a small proof of concept mod I think as a joke called "Doors" a misleading title that just adds 4 doors. Doors that act like portals combining 2 points in space together, that also allows for cool TARDIS like effects.
