So first off thank you to everyone who can answer this, so I know pneumatic tubes have to go into a certain side off the farm but for the life of me I can't figure out what side.can someone answer this for me please? Thanks so much

He said he wanted to use Pneumatic TUBES. "use pipes" was not all too helpful, especially when he doesn't want to use pipes.
You could try using a relay, not sure if that'd work.

Note: Tubes
RedPower 2 Tubes behave differently from Buildcraft Pipes! This is not a bug.
Fertilizer is added from the west side, soil from the north, and seeds/saplings from the top. Items are extracted from the bottom.

RP2 Tubes dont connect to any machine except the apropiate RP2 Machines.
Use a relay to push them in.

I have RP2 tubes connecting to a fermenter and squeezer. The catch is, you have to connect the tubes from different sides to get what you want. For example, for the fermenter you have to place mulch/fertiliser in the bottom and saplings/reeds/etc. in the top.

put a relay directly onto the hatch with the output facing the tubes, the farm will send the items to the relay which will then automatically output to the tubes.

You can connect tubes to the hatch for incoming items only, anything outgoing has to go to a adjacent container first then tubed away. Best way to get the items out of a multi farm it to attach a relay underneath a hatch (it has to be underneath) pointing in any direction you wish, from the relay just attach tubes. For incoming stuff do what legomike pointed out from the forestry wiki (I wrote that :) )

You need to use the right side of the hatch to make it interact with RP, I'm currently using managers to keep dirt and fertilizer supplied, any output will automatically come out using pipes connected underneath the block going to a chest managed by a Manager.

hey b0otser, i'm followed your advice using the RP2 tubes connecting to correct side (and cheers, its greatly appreciated as i don't think there enough indication of how these thing operate). unfortunately the soil seem still be going in the production invent. and therefore clogging my machine and eventually stopping my loop. i'm currently rearranging the tube to enter the south-side (therefore facing north) instead and see if that makes any difference. so, albeit, i was wonder if you could offer any further insight.
