Glade's kick leaves an explosion mark and a small crumble, but just not enough for the creature to shatter.

As Tyler tries to slide under the concrete juggernaut, a light, purple glow emanates from his head, and the thing starts to crumble above him before it ultimately reorganizes itself. The timing is just enough for Tyler to sneak by.

However, on the other side, Christopher violently coughs a knife at terminal velocity, and it goes flying away before the massive asphalt piece starts going out of his hand with the same speed, and the debris goes flying back towards the concrete giant before crashing into it and shattering its left arm into tatters.

-"Holy fuck!" - I said, almost involuntarily - I stopped to look at my own hands, smiling uncontrollably - "That was... Awesome! And just a bit scary at the same time..." - I said, as my smile faded a bit as I started to think logically again, after the euphoria dissipated, of course.

I didn't quite understood why Tyler had the urge, and most importantly, the confidence to just run towards and slide under that thing - but he seemed to have a plan, which was better than anything I had in mind for the moment, so, as soon as I saw the stunned concrete golem tumble even in the slightest, I dashed my way though, dragging the redheaded girl with me. As I was running, an idea popped into my head - it's dangerous, but in this situation, I'm willing to try anything. I dragged the girl, interrupting her punch, even before it happened, saying a shy, but also desperate:

-"Sorry to interrupt, but please, follow me!"

I dragged her into the other end of the alleyway, at a decently safe distance from the creature - I grabbed her shoulders, and said, looking into her eyes:

-"You need to trust me on this one" - I ran with her to the nearest trash bin, grabbed the lid of the trash bin, and handed it to her. I positioned myself in a way that I was both facing the girl, and the golem, and when everything was in place, I said, quite loudly - "Kick it to me, quick!"

My plan is obvious, I'm hoping the kick will create a strong enough explosion to launch the lid into my direction, which I'll do, whatever I've done back there, and redirect it towards the golem. I chanted "please, work - please, work - please, work" multiple times, while I excruciatingly tried to concentrate, I stood my hand in the golem's direction, hoping for the best.

Should I do this. Should I kick the lid to him. It will influence my entire life. My fiery instincts take over and I yell to him "Okay." I kick the lid and wait to see what happens

As i saw the two run away i expected stuff so, being in the back of the creature i kept running beneath it, disorienting it.
"I don't know what's up there but i suggest you do that quick!"

Another wave of energy emerges, and Glade and Christopher start feeling a bit drownsy, as if they were somewhat drunk or during a hangover.

Glade's kick delivers to the bin is slightly less potent than it'd be due to that and what appears to be that her powers have been hampered by Tyler's mental wave.

As the bin approaches Chris, it starts to enter him, but he feels as if he'd just had been hit with it.

"(Crap... Concentrate, concentrate!! Now i know what i can do, i must be more careful... I can't help them like this though... I'll try taking this thing down)
I yelled: "ALL RIGHT YOU BASTARD! WANNA FIGHT? COME AND GET ME!". I then concentrated trying to make the creature crumble into gravel.

I guess I overestimated myself, hence why I should never do that, ever - where is that "play safe" philosophy now, Watson? As I'm flung backwards into the asphalt, I hit the same with anger. "What the hell went wrong?" I really should start taking the Murphy's Law more seriously. I hit the ground once more, to then finally stand up, completely, entirely filled with rage. I wish I could do something.

-"I need to learn how to control this" -I mumbled to myself.

Already stood up, I punched the wall next to me, being unable to care about the state of my fist, I needed to release the anger somehow. For some, this sudden anger on what seemingly was a pretty shy, quiet person like myself might seem random, unexpected to say the least, but the history of feeling useless or impotent, for myself, goes a long way back, it might even go on to say that it scarred me, deeply. I watched as Tyler put himself into the line of fire. Hoping for him to successful on whatever he's trying to do.

The blow shatters against the undead's head, scattering the undead's head all over the floor.

And, bizarelly, it keeps going, as a new head appears to reappear in its place, and with its clumsy, claymotion-like movements, the zombie tries to deliver a fast and powerful blow to Lorna's head.

@Strikingwolf @ThomazM @xTordX

The concrete man seems to ignore Tyler, but his right arm appears to be slowly crumbling and turning into nothing. The feeling of drunkness keeps getting higher and higher. The juggernaut's movements get more and more clumsy with every second as he approaches you two, as if he is going to trip anytime soon. The trash bin ejects itself in a mix of rage and confusion from Christopher, and it targets the giant right at its middle, creating a massive hole in it, and it falls to the ground.

Did he just shoot a lid out of his stomach? Why am I drunk? What happens now...I walk over to the juggernaut and feel a sense of accomplishment. Did we really just destroy this thing? I start to punch it over and over again hoping to completely destroy it. "Hey guys I need some help over here!"

The recoil made from the sudden attack flung me back quite a few feet. I stabilized myself, spacing my feet, raising my other arm into the nearest wall, which I use to balance myself. My eyes opened wide stared at the hole the lid drilled through the concrete body of the golem, and as it crumbles down into it's demise, I drop into the ground myself, gazing deeply at the sky, not knowing exactly what to make out of the situation. I guess what's important now it's that one of our problems is gone, and that's what I should try to focus on. I laid one of my hands on top of my forehead, closing my eyes, in relief. And still with my eyes closed, I speak calmly, high enough for them to hear:

-"What now?"

My foot hit the back of the neck and kept going, as the head of my assailant exploded like an overripe melon struck with a baseball bat. Not expecting the lack of resistance, I overbalanced and stumbled as my foot returned to the ground. Whilst regaining my balance, I staggered backwards, increasing the distance between myself and the corpse. After all, given that I was fighting a corpse, there was no guarantee that a fatal blow to a human would even affect my opponent.

I had cause to be thankful for the constant instruction of my sensei to exercise caution soon enough. No sooner than I had caught my balance, the corpse came at me again, lashing out with one arm towards my face, whilst the wreckage of its head slowly rebuilt from the neck upwards. The effect was terrifying, as the corpse came at me with little more than a bottom jaw in place of its head. I pulled my left hand, complete with the shield, in front of my face, trying desperately to intercept the punch before it connected.

My mind was also turning to counterattack however, and considering ways to defeat an opponent against whom physical attacks had no effect. My right hand dropped to my side, and I tried to recall the feeling of the shield blossoming into being in my hand. As I strained for that feeling, I pictured in my head a longsword, like those used by the knights in the books I read as a child. Those knights, who always rescued the princess, had always made me feel safe as a little girl. Maybe they'd help me once more.

|Hospital|

I make my way through the halls of the hospital, working my way towards the back, away from the front door where the terrible things were. I don't know why all the others ran out there. Whatever. I could feel the commotion, and I didn't want to be anywhere near that place.

A couple of people tried to stop me, but I just said that I was a college student, working part time and leaving through the employees exit.

I neared the fire escape on the opposite side of the hospital. I stepped out into the parking lot, and continued to walk away from the commotion. I looked around for cabs, feeling the need to get out of this place, and fast.

A small mass of energy starts to materialize in Lorna's right hand, slowly forming what appears to be a blade. Right now it is more of a dagger than a longsword, but it is still a stabbity thing, and a few seconds later it looks more like a short sword, like those that those rogues of the stories, such as Robin Hood. Within a short time it should go to longsword.

After the race through the corridors as you dashed through them, you only managed to snatch a wallet and a 3DS, as you stop to get a cab. However, you hear someone scream behind your back: "Hey, mate, you stole my 3DS! Get back here!", and someone knocks you to the ground.

So I help this guy who was knocked out, bring him to the hospital, pay it even, and how does the fucker retribute me?

Stealing my 3DS. And my wallet, but that isn't as important. I finally manage to get to him, and shout: "Hey, mate, you stole my 3DS! Get back here!, before throwing myself over the guy, which probably wasn't a good idea, because now my arm hurts so much, as if I'd just been ran over.

"What the fuck are you doing? We are all in the same boat. We are not the majority. We have to stand out for eachother since it appears that the road is trying to kill us. What are you gonna do, run? If you're running, I'll run with you. At least we can figure it out together. Alright?"

I've been tackled to the ground.

Wow, the guy must really take his games seriously. Although, a 3DS is pretty sweet.

But, he still tackled me to the ground. Concrete has impacted my body three times today.

I roll over. The guy is clutching his arm, but looks determined.

"What the fuck are you doing? We are all in the same boat. We are not the majority. We have to stand out for eachother since it appears that the road is trying to kill us. What are you gonna do, run? If you're running, I'll run with you. At least we can figure it out together. Alright?"

I hand him his 3DS. It's a bit scraped up from where the guy tackled me. I'd probably be more angry, but all the people have freaky powers, apparently. Even me. If I have to get punched for it to activate, I'll be pissed off.
I don't know what this guy's deal might be, so I leave it.

Plus, I'm hella scared.

"Man...I don't know what to say. I'm a coward, alright? Weird stuff has been happening all day. I just do what I do best. Lift wallets off of people to try and pay the rent. Hell, why not, let's run. Strength in numbers, right?"

After I moment, I ask, "So what's your power?"

(OOC - Conversations are hard. I wrote in two questions that I would have asked over the course of a conversation, hopefully this doesn't mess with things too much.)

The blow hammers against my shield, sending orange sparks flying. The shield holds however, allowing me to step away from the corpse and once again resume my distance. Taking a moment to observe the slowly-growing blade in my hand, I lift myself onto the balls of my feet, keeping my shield central. As the corpse resumes its attack, I try to dodge around or block each blow, waiting for the weapon in my hand to grow to its full size and observing my opponent, judging where and when an opening presents itself for a counterattack with the intention of striking at the first opening that presents itself after the sword grows to its full size.

Hammering its corpse and its arms against you, the corpse seems determined for whatever reason to stop you from doing anything. What appears to be more bizarre is the glowing green light in its chest, which grows brighter and brighter with every attack.

The corpse just seems to keep attacking nonstop, but it seems to be losing stamina, weirdly. After a few attacks, he spends a few minutes charging up for another attack, guard clearly open. This will be an easy shot.

"Strength in numbers, eh? I like how you think." It wasn't a lie, if games taught me anything is that if you have two armies with roughly the same equipment and skills, the first one to seize the advantage is the one who has more people.

"Ultimately, though, I don't know my own powers. According to that weird guy I can change the direction of stuff mid-air... It gets harder if they're coming at me, so I can't deflect a bullet... yet."

"So, vector control or something? I saw an anime like that once. It was pretty cool. I think I phase out of reality or something. I'm not really sure, and I don't know how to activate it, besides nearly dying."

Let's go! My lab is 3 streets away."
I said, pointing to a relatively close tall building.

She rides up to the entry of the alleyway on her motorcycle, and stops in front of them, supporting her cycle with her leg due to the missing kickstand. Esaias rolls her eyes at them as they seem to be super determined to get to some form of lab. "Look, would you rather sit around and hide or would you rather save some other people? There's another one just down the street at the hospital, and judging by how that guy was only targeting those of us with powers, I'd say that guy is going after people with powers too. We can go to this lab of yours later, we're going to need all the allies we can get if this becomes a regular thing.

While I'm at it, I may as well introduce myself." She hops off the seat of her bike, leaning up against it to keep it from falling over. "My name's Esaias. I suppose I'll learn all your names as we move along, but for right now, if we're going to fight that thing, we should have a fair knowledge of each other's powers. I suppose you all know your own. As for me, I appear to have the ability to accelerate anything I touch to ridiculous speed depending on how long I touch it for."
