Whaddya mean proxy? If it's what I think it means, you literally just described one of my old characters in a bad RP a long time ago.

In all seriousness, there's a lot of helpful stuff on that forum about how to RP. I've been looking through it in a bid to improve in a few areas.

I would probably remember some useless part of it and nothing useful.

just keep going through the advice, maybe play some low-level RPs, stuff like that. I'm confident that you could well improve.
