Warning: The modpack changed a lt sinced I last played. There are now a lot of new mods.
So...First of all, I'm now using a seed, "Pie"(no quotes), (wonder who suggested it...).You can see where I am:
Now my "House", while the poll is STILL open.
Finaly, using one of the new mods, Magical Crops (BTW, It's awesome), I'm now planting: Rasberrys, Wheat, coal, ender balls, end stone and tomatoes.
I'm planting "ender seeds", they drop this "ender essence". I can use it to make it ender balls, end portal "frames", or even end stone. I'm also planting coal seeds. They give me coal in a 8(essence) to 12(coal) ratio.
And this is it...For now.

I was really loking forward to tree tops, but... guess I will build underground now
New update. The underground base is being built!
It is upose to look like an underground castle from the outside...
When you enter you have two ways to go: Right and Left.
On the left you have my storage. FYI, I moved all my chests with a force wrench, wich is AWESOME BTW...
On the right you have my TiC work-station, my crafting table and an Iron Furnace.
I don't know if I'll keep the tinkers Construct stuff there, because, without a smeltery they are now pretty much useless.

How do you always find such complementing colors? My base always looks like a paint spill whenever I even try to use non-vanilla bricks/stone.
I don't really know. On my last house, the lamp colours (red) was chosen because the flower (rose) was combining very well with the bricks. This time, when I was wondering around the world trying to find a cool place to settle down, one of the reasons I stopped there was because that type of stone was looking really cool with the green grass and leafs.
