Hey i am new to FTB, and there are many things i would like to ask, so ill just make a list and hopefully you guys can help answer them.

Questions:
1. Best source of power - atm i am using lava from nether with geothermal generator for eu and magmatic engine for mj, however i dont know if its better to just make all eu then convert into mj with energy bridge etc (cant get my head all the way around the math perfically here with conversions etc, compared with magmatic engine output)'
2. I can power my quarry, but it is a far distance from my base and any energy cell runs out very quickly - any way to wireless send power?? Energy Tesseract

Ok, at the moment i have a ender thermic pump and two liquid tesseracts for my iron tank to be filled etc. However i cant decided if its cheaper to just use geothermal generators (benefit allows more storage of power with MFSUs etc) then convert this to MJ with energy bridge etc, or to use magmatic engine, but then store the power in redstone energy cells?

Ill edit this as they are answered and if i have more questions
Thanks

^^ Thanks :)
depending on whether you are piping in the quarried items or not, you may not even need a chunk loader. You might if you are piping it in. But if you hook up a item tesserect or have some other means of teleporting medium, you won't need the chunk loader because the quarry in itself is a chunk loader.

About the power...

Draining the nether is free. It turns the nether into a empty (and laggy, depending on the pump you are using) world, but hey, its free energy :)

I personally avoid the nether lava and try to get a self-sufficient cycle in the overworld (last one i've done is a minefactory tree farm->charcoal->railcraft boilers)

The power converters mod will convert on a ratio that is considered an average (there are minor differences between the efficiencies, but theyr very small). The conversion can be considered lossless, so its free to convert power back and forth.

A very good place to start is building a pump in the nether and making magmatic engines this better explained in a video link here
