Windows .exe New to FTB, downloaded and played already, how do I launch it again?

Always try a clean start when all else fails. I also, would recommend disabling AVG when trying to log in with the launcher the first time. It doesn't like things that are fun.

the free AVG , uh, one thing I haven't tried yet is to uninstall/reinstall, should I try that?

That should be fine since my nephew's laptop uses AVG Free.

There is also a setting to disable it for 5mins so no need to uninstall.

Oh then yes as Ash said.

If there is an it's mostly cos of not a fresh install.

my computer doesn't want me having fun tonight at all, I try to delete the folders to do a fresh instal and it says I can't because it's open in Java platform SE binary. what do?

If you know how to open your task manager then you need to close Java.
If not just restart computer and delete the folder.

The message you are getting means it's running in the background and could be the problem. =P

after re-installing and then restarting my pc, everything seems to work now. Thanks for all your help! I hope this was just a system stability issue, at least that what it seems like, having issues for no apparent reason...

His problem has been fixed as i can see in his latest post.

As well as AVG has a setting to disabled it for 5mins so if it was the problem we could have seen then.
