I just love Gregtech. Wanted to put this here too because I find the exploding machines comments hilarious.

I mean okay, everyone's mileage may vary, but I'm not seeing where the act of putting together the plate bending machine costs you so much more time than building a machine and one or more engines.

It costs you if all you wanted was a quarry and had no true intention of pursuing IC2 at all and had no IC2 infrastructure. But that's just me

You used to be able to change the config to set MMI back to the IC2 recipe - just craft refined iron, bronze, and tin together in a normal crafting grid. This update has removed the ability to do that - if GregTech's installed, you HAVE to use the plate bending machine.

stupid nerftech, one tries to play with it disabling its retarded stuff, but no, he can't write one more line of code just so people play without hating on it.

You keep repeating that lie. It doesn't make it true.

The config option to use the base IC2 recipe is the same config option as before the plate machine.

If you mean MMIngotOnlyRollingMachine, we have it set to false, and we still have to make MMIngots out of plates. That's the only relevant config entry I can find, aside from Aluminium2MixedMetal, Steel2MixedMetalIngots, and Titanium2MixedMetal, and I'm sure none of them are what's stopping us.

Tell me, have you actually tried re-enabling the IC2 recipe since the update, or are you just spouting off from ignorance and blind faith?

Yes and no.

The most valuable resource in minecraft you've got is time. The plate bending machine ain't that slow and you can always build more or stock up, but it's an extra headache I'd rather avoid.

When they are overclocked they are lightning fast

You can make a stack of mixed metal ingots in the time it takes waiting on the rolling machine to make one.

It is also cheaper in terms of materials required to make them. I like this change a lot.

Yeah I don't mind using the bending machine I just thought you needed plates to build it at least that's what NEI said

One of the few changes Greg has made that actually makes some sense and it works out cheaper too, did he have a relapse or something?
