My whole game crashes when I open my inventory. I was browsing by Mod. so in the search bar for NEI I had typed "@Mod.Xycraft World". When I went to delete the text, the game broke. It broke exactly when the search bar read "@Mod." and now I can't open any GUI because NEI overlays on top of all of them!!

I already reinstalled the whole modpack. But the string that is saved in that form carries over when you reinstall the mod. Does anyone know where in the code I can delete all text saved to that form? The option doesn't exist in the .cfg that I can find. I reinstalled just NEI and that also failed.

I think the data for the search bar is specific to each savegame. I just am not sure where to start looking to delete the string.

Tried deleting my player data in the savegame. Did not work. Deleting everything I can find attached to NEI at the moment.

I can run other saves just fine, so it is specific to the save file.

Nothing works. NEI saves the string in the search bar in the level.dat file. If you mess up and accidentally type "@Mod." in the search bar of NEI, you just screwed your world. Completely. How do I edit the level.dat file to clear the string???

I know this post is old, but just in case someone else runs into this issue...

I ran into this same problem yesterday.. after much frustration I finally found a fix!

Go into your file system and find the "saves" folder... (adjust the following for your system)
D:\FTB\Ultimate\minecraft\saves

In here you will find a folder named "NEI" .. Just delete this folder and NEI will be reset to the default state.. relaunch client and enjoy!

And just remember not to repeat the mistake of trying to clear the search bar of the XYCraft search directly, change to a different mod's items, then clear it!

Thank you so much! I thought my world was lost since I couldn't open my inv without a crash and that I would have to start a new one. You just saved me a lot of annoyance and pain.
