Hi guys! Is there any way with coal and a machine to get over 10E/t, as my machines are running SUPER slowly haha?

Also how does one enable Gregtech? My version of FTB Unleashed seems to have no Gregtech, idk why, as I cannot macerate Uranium and cannot even create diamond dust/industrial grinder, etc
?

Using coal in a single IC2 Generator will only create 10EU/t. If you need power quickly, you will need more Generators connected to your network, or another type of power generator that creates more EU/t, such as a Geothermal Generator.

As for Gregtech, it isn't included in Unleashed due to issues with Tinkers Construct (I think, don't quote me on it). Your best bet would be Unhinged, which has Gregtech installed ready for you. I do also believe there is a way to install it too, but I have no idea how. I've never tried it.

1) If you want to speed them up overclock them and only give them power when needed.
2) If you want to use coal, I recommend a boiler from Railcraft with some Steam Turbines, though, this costs a lot of steel, so be prepared to have other things to do
3) GregTech isn't included with Unleashed as there were some conflicts between GregoriousT (GregTech dev) and mDiyo (Tinkers Constrcut dev).

I wouldn't recommend using coal for a boiler. Because its not a renewable resource, should you forget to place your quarry, it could run out of coal and you will need to go through the heatup phase again.
Tbh I dont find coal that useful for anything once you get past the early game. If you want to use it for something, I would suggest making MJ with it in engines. Either use the cheap as dirt "Stirling engine", or you can use the "Steam Engine" to get a little more power per engine(but requires water added).
For EU I would suggest saving materials for some Solar panels or get some lava for Geothermal engines.

Yeah coal is really inefficient, though it seems op wants to use coal and probably has a plan for always having coal. Also, for EU, honestly, without GT they're better off making a nuclear reactor. They produce far more EU than anything, except maybe fuel cells in a Generator, but even those output the EU very slowly.

Cannot agree more with this. Use Coal for other things, such as Coal Dust or Coal Coke, and use something renewable. I managed to power a 36HP Steam Boiler using Charcoal made on demand in an Induction Furnace from a store of over 200,000 logs.

Couple of HV solar arrays/Ultimate solar panels. More output, no maintenance, no risk :p

If you get gregtech you can always make a fusion reactor. Good look actually making it, though.

sometimes, when i need a few hundred eu to power some machines, i would set up a soul shard spawner bringing in blazes over a water pit. depending on spawn rate and how quickly you kill them, you can use the blazerods to power up to 36-40 generators (use routers to distribute). very simple and sustains itself indefinitely.

Tartarus.. I mean at work. Same thing really.
You'll want to install GT manually- I think the config is already set in the pack so you can drop it in and go.

Also convert your coal to coal coke before burning it.
(actually if you've got the standard IC2 genny- charcoal or peat* are good options too.)
Gtech allows you to make run your machines directly off steam- so boilers are a good option; as you don't need the engines or turbines.
(Gtech's Steam->Eu conversion is all the same ratio, and works out lossless)
The industrial electrolyzer can also make a fair bit of fuel; once heated you can run a liquid boiler off clay byproducts.
I think bauxite can pay for itself via hydrogen in the gas turbine. (or use the chem. reactor to make it methane)

*unless forestry updated- you can farm peat with pistons, some kind of deployer, and a breaker.

Unleashed includes configs for gregtech. All you have to do is start an unhinged game so the modpack downloads. Once you get the MC menu screen, close the window and go back to the launcher. Select Unleashed and click edit modpack. Click the add mod button and select Gregtech that was downloaded with the Unhinged instance you started. Enjoy. I even added it after having alot in my world and the only issues I have had is with my ME network's autocrafting since GT changes some recipes. Just go into where all your patterns are stored and you will see some with red backgrounds. Those need to be changed to the GT recipe. Other than that, it works perfectly.
