Need help with Thermal expansion item sorting system

I was watching this video and am trying to replicate it on FTB monster ver 1.0.11

I am having an issue getting the ignore meta to work with various ore blocks.

Short example: Trying to sort nether ore blocks into 1 chest 1440 and 1442 seems to cover all ores from the nether ore's mod. I put one of each of those blocks 1440 and 1442 into the filter and click ignore meta and ignore ore dictionary whitelist. I drop a bunch of ore into the input chest and only the 2 blocks I used to make the filter are put in the chest. All the other 1440:# and 1442:#meta ore are put in the generic trap chest at the end. They do not want to go into the chest filtered.

Trying to figure out what I am doing wrong or maybe a mod compatibility issue?

I don't know much about how nether ores handles its item data so I'm not sure what the problem is here. I'd say the first thing to check is to make sure you're also ignoring NBT just in case nether ores uses some sort of NBT with its ores. But the easiest solution would be to filter all the nether ores into the chest. Use two itemduct connections if all the things you're sorting into the chest don't fit in one filter. That's how I've always done it.

I have been trying to test various ignore metadata sorting and none of them seem to work so far. In these images i switched from nether ores to shards and fullerite as they have some good meta data items. I still cannot get the ignore metadata to work.
EDIT: well it seems i was confused for the metadata button the red circle means use metadata and no circle means ignore it where as the others are the opposite. seems to work now at least for metadata.
Now how do i configure the filter for storing all items from a mod? like all thaumcraft stuff?

well the texture pack had the texture flipped. I requested a fix and it was fixed in less then an hr.
Is there anyway to do mod based sorting? like all items from thaumcraft go into a specific chest?

You cant do that with te3. You can do it with Steve factory manager extra utilities and logistics pipes though

I think Logistics Pipes can do that, but not TE3.
