Need help with making my Server less laggy.

Hi i made a private Agrarian Skies server for me and my buddies but i cant find any info anywhere on how to make it less laggy i wanna add more ram to it so it can just run the server and skype and nothing else it lags a little bit every 5 minutes and its annoying we have 35 lives but we would have 50+ if we had no lag. if anyone can help me i dont check these every minute of the day so add me on skype im 100% on there all day so please message me there.

So where your server folder is youll see a .bin file or something like that basically the command that starts up the server, what you click on to launch it to the windows command screen. If you right click this you can open it in note pad and youll see some lines of text you can change. One is the minimum amount of ram you want to allocate and the max is the one you should change to somewhere around half of whats available on your computer as youll need some for your operating system and mincraft client. Ill stop there because i found a great tutorial here.

Also depending on your cpu you may want to overclock a bit to see what extra you can get out to speed up your server performance. You can try multithreading the server but it makes things unstable in my experience. Best of luck.

Try putting -server in that your bat file as well.
Not sure if ag skies has opis, but look up tutorials if you do because it can help you find the causes of lag.
Also if you use itemducts with crucibles for lava they can be back stuffed with thousands of items and cause tons of lag so anywhere where you might have stuffed ducts put a dense duct going into a trash can for safety. Someone also wrote a server side plugin to delete items in stuffed ducts if they are >x.

Switch to vanilla skyblocks with just ex nihilio and ex aquiline added, or upgrade your server :)
