I'm running the FTB Unleashed Pack and I found that when I play SSP for about 30 to 45 minutes, the 4 cores of my processor shoot to 100% usage.

The only way to fix this temporarily is to quit the game and restart it.

How can I fix this permanently?

Is it always the same thing that triggers the problem? When it happens bring up the task manager and look at what programs are using all the cpu.

Yes, as soon as I have played for 30 to 45 minutes. I notice the CPU Core Load when the game does a lag freeze for half a second.

Did you lower the RAM allocated to less than 5GB? About 2GB should be more than enough. Also try Optifine this should allow you to use more than one core iirc.

As UniZero was pointing toward. Do you have any programs trying to update, AV program scanning, or defrag program running in the background every 30 minutes? Check the settings of some of the programs and see if something is misbehaving.

RAM lowered to 3.5 GB and running Optifine but when set to Multi-Core, some mobs are invisible and I get killed. Can't even hit them.

A/V put on "Silent Mode" and no defrags running.

Also, is 3 GB RAM good to use with HD textures? Using LB Photo Realism 256X.

The amount of RAM you assign has nothing to do with textures, that's handled by your Gfx card. Also, there are occasional issues with optifine and multicore, use smooth instead.

If your looking for a performance increase, check the JVM arguments link in my signature.

My card is a GTX 570, so it's good I tested even with no textures and got the same result. So, Optifine is in some way buggered.

Will look at the link. How do you install them, btw?

From the launcher --> options --> advanced options. Then copy and paste the text into the additional java parameters box.
