MystCraft and Bees

Hi All,

Only upto about world 50 odd with MystCraft. Trying to use the Notebook Desk to find some Tropical Bees. Seems every world I create IE: Jungle Biome large, No Bee Hives :-( Are Bees in Mystcraft something I have to discover like Dungeons/Mineshafts/Glowstone etc? Have made a few Worlds Jungle Biome/Eternal Night so as to find Beehives easier, however the REI's Minimap seems to be Day when World is Night. Making it hard to see if MystCraft has indeed Made a Few Hives. Still searching.

Mystcraft worlds can definitely generate beehives. However it is possible that not all of the extra biomes with "jungle" in the name can spawn them. I believe you need the vanilla jungle or jungle hills biome.

Been taking the easy road with Flat from the Notebook will try the Hills and see what I can Find.

yes, the bees and extra biomes xl might give some problems with finding the beehives. I suggest to make an age of only a vanilla jungle biome.
as for the Rei's minimap, the Rei's minimap follows the normal world clock, so if it's day in the overworld the minimap will also show day. but that doesn't mean eternal night won't help, because you can still see area's where it's bright because of the beehives (though they sometimes need a block update to light up)

I think it doesn't matter if the world is flat or normal, you could try out a flat world, and if that doesn't work a normal world.

Jungle hives can be pretty hard to spot considering that they spawn hanging of the top of the trees the hard part is reaching them lol
