Bug My Minecraft game crashes when I open a GUI after opening a chest once.

I have a world in the Space Astronomy modpack, and when I open a GUI after another is opened, it crashes. The report says it crashed outside the virtual environment(in the native code)...which means this likely isn't a mod problem, but rather in the Java code itself. I asked the modpack developer, but he just said(basically) it's not his problem. Help?
